We have all been taught that the War Between the States was fought over slavery. Right? Well invite you to challenge your education, and let the old veterans tell you in their own words why they fought. Meet Julius Howell and he will tell you why they fought. Let not your ears deceive you.
American Indians. Yes they fought for the CSA. "What?" you say. By now you should start to get the idea that minorities fought alongside white men and bled and died with the white men. I invite you to visit SCV Camp 2000. The home of the Lakota Nation. They will tell you their story.
What about casualty figures for the Confederate States?
The "States of Secession's" white populations, number of
troops furnished, and number of troops killed.....1861-1865
There were many from other states, even the north. I know of no records on these.
